Kalene Tuioti is a freelance illustrator, bookworm, movie lover, and notorious day-dreamer. Kalene is the author and illustrator of a comical retelling of the Hawaiian Legend, Chief Hala’ea (ha-la-ey-ah). She enjoys creating a variety of illustrations and works primarily with a combination of watercolors, colored pencils, and digital mediums.
Kalene recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Illustration from Brigham Young University Idaho. Where, in addition to learning about Illustration, she learned how to brave snow storms and was educated in all the many ways you can prepare an Idaho potato. Currently, Kalene is back home in California and is happily residing in beautiful Monterey.
